I built this model (26 in. LOA) after studying The 40-Knot Sailboat. It was derived from two drawings in the book. The model sailed very fast in a moderate breeze, riding on the tips of the leeward foils and the bottom of the windward foil. It was stable until the windward foil bounced off a wave and the keel left the water, whereupon it quickly capsized.
