The following pages chronicle the development of a new kind of sailboat. The multihull layout is derived from the traditional proa type of sailing craft. The balanced sail/keel relationship is based on the work of Bernard Smith.

The sailboats herein described are ‘force balanced'. This means that, no matter how strong the wind is, the boat doesn't heel and it can't capsize due to wind-induced loads.
